▋ Product Description

         BOY-WF08-S is a non-contact flow rate detection device operating in 24GHz ISM band, using CW modulation mode, which can detect water flow rate information in real time all weather, regardless of climate, temperature, water vapor and water pollutants. Efficient back-end processing algorithms are built into the product to accurately calculate the water flow speed.

▋ Working Mechanism

        BOY-WF08-S is a non-contact flow rate detection device.   The device is connected to the host through RS485, and provides wireless signals such as 4G to send measurement data to the server, providing data support for background decision-making. 


▋ Installation Method

        The current meter can be installed in the form of forward fixed installation, lateral fixed installation and cable installation. When installing the velocity timing, the front panel of the velocity meter should not be blocked, otherwise the radar signal will be attenuated and the measurement will be affected. It is recommended that the radar beam is directed towards the current, and the residual Angle between the radar beam and the horizontal plane is in the range of 30 to 45 degrees, 30 degrees is recommended.



Application

         BOY-WF08-S  can be used to monitor the surface velocity of natural rivers, open channels, underground pipe networks and other water bodies and to assist water treatment operations.



▋ FAQ

1: Does the current meter emit 0 from time to time?
1) Check whether the device tilt Angle is the recommended 30°-45°.
2) Please check whether the water surface ripples are static without ripples.
3) Check whether the front panel of the device is blocked.
4) If the height of the device exceeds 30m, the time should be extended to more than 20s.
5) Check whether there are water plants or obstacles in the radar beam range.

2: No data from the current meter?
1) Check whether the input of the power circuit is correct
2) The serial port number and serial port baud rate are set correctly.
3) Check whether the communication interface is consistent with the setting.
4) Whether the device is in sleep mode or interval mode.
5)  Check the communication protocol, communication address

3: Does the flow rate change greatly and frequently?
1) Check whether the power supply voltage is too low.
2) Whether other floating objects often appear within the measurement range.
3) Whether the installation position is fixed and the radar beam is aligned.
4) Set appropriate jump suppression, refer to parameter setting.
