   Product Description
BOY-GD03 vibrating string osmometer is a string sensor suitable for long-term and stable monitoring in geotechnical, hydraulic structures and structural safety monitoring engineering projects. Commonly installed in drilling holes, pressure gauges, or directly buried into the structure, used to monitor the infiltration (pore) water pressure inside the structure, and can synchronously measure the temperature of the buried point. The equipment is mainly made of imported high-tolerance steel string and self-developed manufacturing process. Mainly used in dam, deep foundation pit, slope and other foundation, fill engineering seepage pressure (pore water pressure) monitoring.

▋ Working Principle
ibrating string osmometer is composed of diaphragm, fine steel string, adjusting clamping device, exciting receiving coil and so on. The natural vibration frequency of steel string is related to tension force, material, length, etc. After the vibration string is determined, its natural vibration frequency is a definite value, and the change of frequency corresponds to the force size. In actual use, the permeable stone filter transmits the osmotic pressure to the diaphragm, the force change of the diaphragm causes the vibrating string osmometer to move, and the small displacement can be measured by the vibration frequency and the tension of the vibrating string element. The square of the vibration frequency is proportional to the diaphragm pressure. The reading instrument (collector) uses the electromagnetic coil to excite the steel string to measure the frequency, and the frequency signal is transmitted to the reading instrument or the collector through the cable, and the osmotic pressure (pore water pressure) can be measured after conversion.

Application
Vibrating wire osmometer is widely used to monitor pore water pressure or osmotic pressure in geotechnical engineering such as water conservancy and hydropower, mines, railways and highways, bridge piers, underground caverns, etc. Vibrating wire osmometer can automatically monitor relevant data for a long time.FA&Q

1. Unstable reading:

-Ensure that the pressure gauge is installed in a stable environment, avoiding the effects of mechanical vibration and temperature changes.

-Regularly calibrate and maintain the pressure gauge to ensure it is in good working condition.

-Use high-quality cables and connectors to reduce the impact of electrical noise on readings.

2. Sensor drift:

-Choose high-quality and durable sensors to reduce the possibility of drift.

-Regularly inspect and calibrate sensors to promptly detect and correct drift phenomena.

-During installation and use, follow the manufacturer's recommendations and guidelines to minimize the impact of environmental factors on the sensor.

3. Cable damage:

-Use high-quality cables and connectors to improve their durability and corrosion resistance.

-During installation and use, avoid excessive mechanical stress or bending on the cables.

-Regularly inspect the insulation layer and sheath of the cable, promptly identify and address potential issues.
